Leicester battling to sort Jeffrey Schlupp wage demands

Ghanaian international, Jeffrey Schlupp is set to quit EPL Champions Leicester after the club’s failure to reward him for his role in their title triumph. Leicester are facing a battle to keep wing-back Schlupp who has been subject of a £9m bid from West Brom and has three years left on his £40,000-a-week existing deal. The club has been slow in rewarding most of it’s heroes with a pay rise. So far, only 24-goal star striker Jamie Vardy has seen abump in his wages to £100,000-a-week while midfielder N’Golo Kante was offered the same terms though he opted to join Chelsea instead while captain Wes Morgan penned a £70,000-a-week contract last week. Don King signs Ghana-based boxer

Former Commonwealth and African champion, Isaac Ekpo has been signed onto the promotional label of the legendary promoter, Don King Promotions. The deal for the Ghanaian-based Nigerian boxer was put through by his manager and promoter, Anthony Kermah of Landmark Promotions. The boxer expressed gratitude to Landmark Promotions and his former coach, the late Godwin Kotey Dzanie, for bringing him this far. The fighter has vowed to make the legendary Don King happy by winning big bouts for him. Ekpo, a super middleweight contender, was billed to fight current WBO super middleweight champion, Gilberto Ramirez, last Saturday but it fell through. Ghana’s senior female soccer team, the Black Queens, were thumped 11-0 by Germany in an international friendly that was played in Paderborn on Friday. The match was being used by the teams to prepare for separate international tournaments. For Ghana, the match was part of preparations for the upcoming African Women’s Championships in Cameroon while the German team used it to get ready for the women’s football event at the Rio Olympic Games. The rout started in the first minute when Anja Mittag scored. She went on to grab three more goals in the 31st, 39, 42nd minutes. Accra Hearts of Oak coach Sergio Traguil has denied reports that he has been given a five-match ultimatum to improve results or face demotion.
