Mahrez Hands In Transfer Request As Man City Make Bid

Written by | January 31, 2018 | 0
Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has handed in a transfer request but the club have no interest in selling him before the transfer deadline. It is understood Manchester City have made a bid of around £50m for the 26-year-old Algeria international. However, that figure falls far short of Leicester’s valuation. Asked about his interest in Mahrez, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said: “Right now, it’s not the place to talk about it. It’s so difficult.” The Spaniard added: “It happened with (Aymeric) Laporte because it’s a buy-out clause. When you have to negotiate it’s always so complicated.” Guardiola confirmed that City will be without Leroy Sane for six or seven weeks due to the ligament injury he sustained at Cardiff

Andile Matika (left) Matika said in an interview with Citi FM, that Barnor was right because Saucedo himself had not respected many of the rules. “In fact, the referee was spot on. Newcastle star Christian Atsu could be headed to the London Stadium as a replacement for his international team-mate Andre Ayew. With Michail Antonio’s struggles with injuries, West Ham United manager David Moyes is keen to strengthen his wing options in the fight to maintain the clubs Premier League status. A move for Atsu, however, only looks likely if the Hammers fail in their pursuit of first-choice target Adama Traore of Middlesbrough. Last month, Atsu put up one of his best performances for Newcastle as he scored a goal and set up another during a dramatic 3-2 win for the Magpies. The 26-year-old has so far made 19 League appearances and scored two goals this season. His deal with the Toon Army was made permanent last summer following a successful loan spell from Chelsea.
