Fears And Concerns For The Religious Right As Donald Trump Won Election

Written by | November 15, 2016 | 0
By Victor Ochieng There was a general feeling that Donald Trump wasn’t going to garner enough votes to thrash Hillary Clinton. He didn’t manage to win minorities to his side and many young Americans expressed their disapproval of his actions. It didn’t occur to most people that Trump would win. In fact, for some people, Trump appeared more like a candidate who was just spicing up the campaign, but not a contender with the potential of emerging victorious. Who even knew at the onset that Trump would win the GOP nomination? On November 8th, Americans went to the polls and the final results came as a surprise to millions of people in the U.S. and across the globe. Trump and his Republican party scooped a resounding victory, giving the party control almost at every level. What’s clear

T.B. Joshua breaks silence after US election prophecy failed pathetically

In a widely-publicised prophecy on video and on Facebook, TB Joshua stated emphatically that Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party nominee, would win the election. But Donald Trump ended up winning, prompting many Africans to mock him. But in a statement posted on Facebook after the election, TB Joshua fired back at his critics, saying that they were interpreting the prophecy on the “basis of their own minds and ideas”. He suggested that his prophecy had been accurate because Hilary Clinton won the popular vote. “The prophecy seems to cause uproar to many who gave it different meaning and interpretation,” he said. TB Joshua also hit back at those who had called him a false prophet. “We have seen the outcome of the election in America. Having read, you will notice that

Florence Obinim calls for peace

It is very rare, in our modern society, to find someone who maintains the same standard of faithfulness, compassion and morals in situations where they seem to be engulfed in various storms of life. But the wife of the leader of International God’s Way Church (IGWC), Mrs. Florence Obinim, continues to maintain and demonstrate a great sense of integrity both in private and public settings despite many turbulences and challenges along the way. One would notice that the well-renowned gospel star does not actively engage herself in political issues. However, it also appears that she does not want to live to witness Ghana experiencing any political turmoil during and after the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections. As Ghana is heading towards the polls in December this year, Mrs. Obinim,

40-Day Prayer Schedule For Ghana’s Election 2016–29th October – December 7th

Written by | November 14, 2016 | 0
Introduction “Jesus set the perfect example of obedience in prayer. Although His day was filled from morning to night with many pressures and responsibilities – addressing crowds, healing the sick, granting private interviews, travelling and training His disciples, He made prayer a top priority. If Jesus was so dependent upon this fellowship in prayer alone with His Father, how much more you and I should spend time alone with God.” – Bill Bright Concerning our dear nation Ghana, during the next 40 days of prayer beginning 29th October 2016, AFReG-Ghana encourages all to intercede and pray for the coming elections. This is an absolute priority assignment given to the church. As we pray God works! Please forward these prayer items to others and encourage your church or organization

I am confident that President-elect Trump and I will continue to strengthen the unique alliance between our two countries and bring it to ever greater heights,” Netanyahu said on Twitter. Israeli President Reuven Rivlin offered similar congratulatory remarks, but said that Trump will face many challenges as president. “There are many challenges that lie before you as president–at home and around the world. Israel, your greatest ally, stands by you as your friend and

The Decisions Facing Donald Trump

Donald Trump is now America’s master. As improbable as that outcome might seem to metropolitan Americans, it is actually quite consistent with the pattern of politics during the last decade. Many of Trump’s fundamental beliefs–his aversion to foreign engagements, his portrait of long-standing American allies as free-loaders, his deferential attitude towards Russian President Vladimir Putin–have been on prominent display during President Barack Obama’s two terms in office. Since politics is never smooth and is chock-full of unintended consequences, the election of a man without experience of government, the military, the judiciary, or public service is not as outlandish as it first may seem, once you consider the context.
