“At length, Yosef said to his brothers, “I am about to die. Hashem will surely take notice of you and bring you up from this land to the land that He promised on oath to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Yaakov.” Genesis 50:24 (The Israel Bible™) Joseph’s Tomb, early 1900’s. (Photo: Wikimedia Commons) An estimated 6,000 Jews made an overnight visit to Joseph’s Tomb on Thursday, the anniversary of the Biblical character’s death. The gathering was carried out under heavy guard by the IDF since the site is located on the outskirts of the Arab dominated city of Shechem. Dozens of Arabs rioted as the convoy of buses and military vehicles entered the city. The area is in Samaria, a region conquered by Israel in the 1967 Six-Day War and thought the city came under Palestinian Authority

5 Prayers To Transform Your Workplace

Photo credit – Theprayingwoman.com I was well into my fourth year as a high school special education teacher when the looming cloud of burnout began drifting uncomfortably close. Determined not to fall into the statistic of special education teachers who leave the profession within the first five years, I needed a fresh wave of encouragement to wash over me and breathe life into my weary soul. Part of my discouragement stemmed from the fact that I was a devoted Christ-follower in a secular system – a system with strict rules that prohibited me from sharing my faith in the classroom. I was wrestling with my calling when an older woman from my church suggested I use the verses of Colossians 1:9-12 as a prayer guide for my students and coworkers. What I discovered in the months that

Sunday school children of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Judah Temple at Bogrekrom in the Tarkwa Nsueam Constituency, on Sunday joined thousands of Christians around the world to commemorate Palm Sunday. The children with their teachers sung praises songs, waved flowers and palm branches and also danced to brass band music to remember the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, the President of the Children’s Department, Mrs. Charlotte Yenu, said as children of God they would continue to celebrate this special day because that was when Jesus Christ sacrificed his life to save mankind. She said children have a significant role to play in the Kingdom of God. Mrs Yenu, therefore, entreated parents to bring up their children

There Are Useful Lessons To Learn From Ghana’s Political Past

The Most Reverend Peter Akwasi Sarpong, former Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Kumasi, has paid tribute to individuals and organizations, who boldly stood up against military rule and fought for democracy. The nation’s constitutional democracy and the resultant political stability was a fruit borne out of their fearless agitation for freedom of speech and respect for the fundamental human rights of the ordinary Ghanaian. Emeritus Archbishop Sarpong was speaking at the launch of ‘Ogyakrom – the Missing Pages of June Fourth’, a book authored by Professor Kwesi Yankah, Minister of State in-charge of Tertiary Education, in Kumasi. The 310-page book, published by the Standard Newspapers and Magazines (SNAM) Limited, was inspired by events in two previous military regimes

Rev. Moses Bennisan, the Founder, and leader of non-denominational Christian ministry; Family Altar has thrown some lights on the office of the prophet and most importantly prophecy. Speaking exclusively to fnnewsonline.com, Rev. Moses Bennisan before his submission stated clearly that prophecies should not become a medium for extortion, arm twisting, and self-promotions. According to him, the office of the prophet is a sacred calling and of a higher reputation while prophecy, on the other hand, comes to build up, encourages and comfort the people and the church. He added that there are basically two kinds of prophecies namely, conditional prophecies and unconditional prophecies. He explained; “There are prophecies with conditions and prophecies without conditions. A conditional prophecy

The Manso-Abiram Circuit of the Methodist Church has celebrate its 10 years anniversary with a call to every Ghanaian to show good faith in everything they do. The Right Reverend Hayford Aduse-Poku, Methodist Bishop of Obuasi, asked that they resisted the temptation to lie, deceive or cheat to gain unfair advantage over others. He said the people should rather accept to stand for ‘what is right and what is just’ and to be bold to roundly denounce anything evil and toxic to the health of the society. He used the occasion to remind Christians to do more to support the poor, the sick and the vulnerable. Such people, Bishop Aduse-Poku indicated, needed to be shown love and assisted to live in human dignity. He encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in their faith, to be

On Thursday, Pentagon spokesman Eric Pahon acknowledged that, following a request from Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri to President Donald Trump, US special forces would be providing training
