B/A: Police Begins Search For Hit And Run Driver

The Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Command has appealed to the public to help provide information for the arrest of a driver who fled the scene after a road crash at Taforo near Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Brong-Ahafo Region. The driver knocked and killed a 41-year-old teacher in the town and fled instead of stopping to take the victim to the hospital, Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong, the Regional Police Public Relations Officers, told journalists on Monday in Sunyani. He said on Monday, 2 July 2018, Madam Abena Manu, 70, a farmer, reported to the Dorama-Ahenkro Police that her son Kwabena Darko, a teacher at Taforo who had been missing for some days, had been found dead near his farm on the Taforo-Kosan road. Accident Involving Two Buses Kills 10 People At Suhum

A road crash involving two buses at Asuboi, a suburb of Suhum, on Wednesday morning, has claimed 10 lives. The crash occurred on the main Accra Kumasi Highway. Personnel of the National Ambulance service indicated to Citi News that there were 32 survivors from the crash. Some of the survivors are said to be in critical condition. Doctors at the Suhum Government Hospital are making arrangements to refer some of the injured to the Koforidua Regional Hospital. Several lives have been lost through accidents this year.

Kwasi Nyantakyi President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyi, yesterday landed in the hands of personnel of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service at the Kotoka International Airport minutes after his arrival from Morocco on board Ethiopian Airline. The Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Anthony Karbo has been invited by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service for questioning. A Justice of the Court of Appeal, Her Ladyship Justice Irene Charity Larbi, has sent a strong warning to male teachers against having sexual relations with school girls, adding that such perpetrators will be dealt with accordingly.
