Akosua Agyapong And Lawyers Given Last Chance In Court

An Accra Circuit Court has given Akosua Agyapong and her lawyer one last chance to conclude the cross-examination of a prosecution witness in the trial in which she has been accused of defrauding a car dealer to the tune of GHC105,000.00. This was after both Akosua Agyapong and her lawyer failed to show up for the trial which has been before the court since 2017. The complainant had in the past complained about what he described as “deliberate delays” by the lawyer to stall the case. The complainant, Jonas Asamoah who is a car dealer drew the attention of the presiding judge to the pace the case was travelling after one of the proceedings. According to him, it has been more than a year since he mounted the witness boss somewhere in December 2017. He recounted how the case had to be adjourned

The Attorney General, Gloria Akuffo says the embattled CEO of gold dealership firm, Menzgold cannot be brought to Ghana yet. Gov’t Cuts Import Duty By 50%, Cars 30% Effective April 4

Government says effective Thursday, April 4, there will be a clear reduction in import duty at all of the country’s ports. Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who disclosed this at the Economic Management Team (EMT) town hall meeting Wednesday, said, imports duty will be reduced by 50 per cent while importers of vehicles will enjoy a 30 per cent reduction.
